Resources: Paper, markers, and a computer.
The list of celebrities killed by tobacco is long and growing. Sadly, studies show that teens are far more likely to start using tobacco if their favorite celebrity uses tobacco. Use this activity to de-glamorize tobacco use in your community.
- Create a display featuring the faces, names, and cause of death of celebrities who died from tobacco-caused diseases.
- Pick a high-traffic area to place your display, such as a school hallway. You can even check with local businesses to see if they would let you hang your display in their window.
