We are no longer accepting applications for 2012 Kick Butts Day Mini-Grants: We are reviewing completed entries and plan to notify grant applicants as we make our decision. Many thanks go the United Health Foundation for making these mini-grants possible. Learn more about mini-grants.

2012 Youth Advocate of the Year Awards
Nominations for the 2012 Youth Advocate of the Year (YAYA) Awards are open!
We will be awarding:
- 4 Regional Awards (Grades 9-12)
- East: CT, DC, DE, MA, MD, ME, NH, NJ, NY, PA, RI, VT
- South: AL, AR, FL, GA, KY, LA, MS, NC, PR, SC, TN, TX, U.S. Virgin Islands, VA, WV
- Central: IA, IL,IN, KS, MI, MN, MO, ND, NE, OH, OK, SD, WI
- West: AK, American Samoa, AZ, CA, CNMI, CO, Guam, HI, ID, MT, NM, NV, OR, UT, WA, WY
- 1 National Award (Grades 9-12)
- 1 Group Award (Middle School and/or High School-aged)
- 1 Military Award (Grades 9-12)
As always, we are looking for youth who show leadership in holding tobacco companies accountable for marketing products to youth and/or who have made significant contributions to tobacco control policies.
UPDATE: Deadline extended to Feb. 3, 2012. Applications must be postmarked by January 27, 2012
The winners will be honored at the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids annual YAYA Gala on May 17, 2012 in Washington, D.C. Winners will be awarded grants and/or scholarships.
