About Kick Butts Day
After Your Kick Butts Day Event
Kick Butts Day is officially one day each year, but we encourage you to fight tobacco all year long so that we can make the next generation tobacco-free.
Here are some steps you can take after your event to maximize impact:
Share with us for $$$!
Complete our post-event survey and share your best event photos with us for a chance to win a guaranteed $250 Kick Butts Day mini-grant next year! All event organizers who complete the survey will be entered into a drawing. Don’t wait! The survey will close on April 15, 2017.
Follow up with the media
Did the media attend your event? Awesome! Follow up with pictures and a thank you to boost your chances of getting covered.
If the media didn’t make your event, it’s not too late! Reach out with a press release about your event and high quality images and videos that the reporter could use in a potential story.
Say thank you
Don’t forget to thank the people who made your event a success, including your organizers, participants, sponsors, special guests and the media.
Kicking butts all year long
Here are some simple steps to stay engaged in the fight against the tobacco industry:
Follow the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids on social media to stay in the loop about the latest news in the fight against tobacco. @TobaccoFreeKids on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
This initiative educates, empowers and engages youth through both online and in-person trainings. It engages new youth in the fight against tobacco and provides in-depth training to help young leaders take their advocacy to the next level.
