What is Kick Butts Day?
Kick Butts Day is a national day of activism that empowers youth to speak out, stand up and seize control against Big Tobacco at more than 1,000 events from coast to coast.

How long has the Kick Butts Day program been in existence?
This is the seventeenth annual Kick Butts Day.

Do you award grants?

For the first time ever, Kick Butts Day is awarding grants, thanks to our new partnership with the United Health Foundation. Be sure to apply by January 27, 2012. Learn more about these mini-grants.


Can I register more than one Kick Butts Day event?
Yes. After you register your first event, you can register additional events. Simply follow the link on the right-hand side of the Kick Butts Day website to "Register additional events"


In the past I have ordered a hard copy of the guide. Why can't I do the same this year?
In order to keep the cost of the Kick Butts Day program down, we are no longer offering hard copies of the Kick Butts Day guide. We encourage you to visit our website and download the guide.


Can you post our Kick Butts Day pictures on your Web site?
We will include photos from Kick Butts Day 2012 in our online photo gallery.  Please add your photos to the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids Kick Butts Day 2012 group.


Can we reproduce the Kick Butts Day logo on our promotional materials?
The Kick Butts Day logo, as well as the phrase Kick Butts Day, and its derivatives, are trademarks of the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids.

While the logos can be used freely as part of a registered Kick Butts Day activity, they should not be used to imply that Tobacco-Free Kids has officially sponsored or endorsed any specific Kick Butts Day-related actions you take or statements you make.

In addition, the Kick Butts Day trademarked logo cannot be altered in any way, and the Kick Butts Day logo and phrases cannot be used for any other purposes beyond your Kick Butts Day activities without express prior permission from the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids.

If you would like permission to use the Kick Butts Day logo or phrases for any purposes beyond this year's Kick Butts Day activities, please contact the us at KBDinfo@kickbuttsday.org and put "Use of Kick Butts Day logo" in the subject line.

Who funds the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids?
The Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids accepts no government or tobacco industry funding, but relies on contributions from individuals, philanthropic foundations, corporations and other non-profit organizations.  Find out more about how to make a donation.

Are you affiliated with the truth campaign?
No, the truth campaign is part of the American Legacy Foundation, an organization created and funded by the Multi-State Master Settlement Agreement.

The Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids is a 501(c)(3) organization. Donations to the Center are tax deductible as a charitable contribution and support the education and outreach efforts. The CAMPAIGN FOR TOBACCO-FREE KIDS ACTION FUND is a 501(c)(4) organization that focuses on the advocacy and lobbying activities. Donations to the 501(c)(4) are not tax deductible as a charitable contribution.

Can a member of the Campaign for Tobacco Free Kids staff come to our school/organization for a presentation or a demonstration?
While we cannot fulfill every request to have our staff members speak, we might know an expert in your area who would be a good substitute. Contact us at KBDinfo@kickbuttsday.org.

Does Tobacco-Free Kids give out posters or other visual materials?
