What is Kick Butts Day?
Scheduled for March 23, 2011, Kick Butts Day is a national day of activism that empowers youth to speak up and take action against tobacco use at more than 1,000 events from coast to coast.
What happens on Kick Butts Day?
Students from schools across the country hold different events and activities that call attention to the problems caused by Big Tobacco and its attempts to market to youth. As a teacher, youth leader, or health advocate, you can organize these events and mobilize your kids to raise awareness about the problems of tobacco use in your school and community.
Do I have to hold my Kick Butts Day event on March 23, 2011?
You can do any of these activities any day of the year. The reason we encourage many groups to hold these events on the same day is to generate a lot of noise and buzz across the whole nation to call more attention to Big Tobacco marketing to kids.
