Thank You For Kicking Butts

Posted by Gustavo Torrez on 23 Mar 2017

Last week, thousands of youth and adults across the United States and around the world took action to stand out, speak up, and seize control against Big Tobacco. This was our 22nd annual Kick Butts Day, and we’re thrilled to announce it was also one of our most successful ever! The passion and creativity demonstrated by advocates like you was incredible, and we truly can’t thank you enough.

Highlighting Success

Our collective impact this year was huge. Some numbers:

  • 1,000+ Kick Butts Day events in all 50 states and 8 different countries
  • 200+ news stories nationwide

Beyond the events themselves, tobacco-control advocates were incredibly active on social media, extending the reach of their events even further. Visit our #iKickButts gallery to see videos and images of advocates taking action all over the country!

After the Event

Just because your event has come to an end doesn’t mean its impact has to! Check out our after the event page to get some ideas on how you can follow up with the media, thank your attendees, and tell us about your event.

After The Event

As great as Kick Butts Day in 2017 was, we know you’ll find a way to make 2018 even better. Kick Butts Day is officially held only one day every year, but we encourage you to keep kicking butts all year so we can make the next generation tobacco-free.
